North Korean Kim not well?

Remember, he was responsible for the "we accuse Park the bitch" quote.

Now, North Korean state media has acknowledged that their leader is unwell. He hasn't been seen in public since Sept 3. Given that this chap is only 31 and has access to the best food, medicine and exercise equipment, it is surprising that he is not well. Oh well.

Singapore National Day Reception in London 2014

National Day Reception in London - Sep 2014.  This was organized by the Overseas Singapore Unit (OSU).  Thanks for the invite! It was a standing event held at a hotel in central london, near High Street Kensington tube station. Looking around, there were approximately 300 guests, mostly Singaporeans.

This young lady sang pretty well, with an accent.  I can't remember her name though.

This lady sang soprano.  Quite exotic.

Dinner starts.  This was the laksa station.  Pretty authentic.

This was my portion.  Good taste.

Oh yes, the event was held at The Royal Garden Hotel.  This was the table for the main course.

Quite messy, but in there was some chicken rice, char kway teow and other local delicacies.

The National Day cake, quite popular so it seems.  I didn't like the cake though.

The dessert section.  Hot dessert was Bo Bo-Cha Cha, which was pretty good.

The cold dessert was fantastic - Ice Kachang! The servers would give you a bowl of crushed ice and you help yourself to the various condiments.  Very yummy.

It was a very pleasant evening and I certainly caught up with a few friends.

1 Hyde Park - London (Knightsbridge)

1 Hyde Park - reportedly the most expensive apartment in the world.  Earlier this year, the penthouse sold for reportedly 10,000 GBP/sq foot.

I took a walk around the area on a recent visit to London.  The apartments are now completed.  Check out the video - the place is just opposite Knightsbridge Tube station.  Slightly further down the road, you would find the famous Harrods.

Many billionaires have bought into this development - serves as their London crash pad.

Tube station is on the right. I am standing at the junction.

Interesting design.  Very modern looking.

There is a sports car showroom (commercial space) at the ground floor of this apartment.

This was to Royal Albert hall, which is incidentally too far to walk from here.  There is a direct bus though.

Some signs to guide the way.  One Hyde Park behind.

Royal Mint Gardens IJM Land, Royal Mint Street - No Progress

No progress made so far.  The place has been converted into a temporary carpark.  Not sure how they plan to build the development on top of the rail lines.  See the video.

Johore Property Cooling Down Becomes More Evident

The property slowdown has become more evident in Johore, Malaysia.

Slowdown looks to be quite apparent.

Would you buy property in Johore?

I wouldn't.  I think there is way too much supply there.  But don't take my word for it.  I could be wrong.
