Other London Projects

On this page, I provide links to blog pieces that I have done on London, UK property projects that are of interest. Please share your views on our community forum.  The more we share, the more we can learn from one another's experiences.

Why only London UK?  Why not other parts of UK?  
There is a saying that you should invest only in instruments and/or markets you are reasonably familiar with. Otherwise, it becomes speculation, or even gambling.  Where the UK is concerned, we are most familiar with the London, UK market.  Yes, we have been to other UK cities and some of them are interesting.   However, we do not have enough knowledge to be confident to invest in them.

Aren't there good deals for UK Property, outside London?
Of course there are!  However, we don't know enough of the UK property market outside London, to invest in these.

The Chilterns, by Galliard Homes. 
A 5 minute walk to Oxford Circus Tube.  2 bedders being marketed for close to 4 Mil GBP.

1 Hyde Park - Most expensive apartments in the world
I was in that vicinity and took a video.  The place is right opposite Knightsbridge Tube.  Given how it is priced, probably owned by billionaires.

Fulham Riverside by Barratt Homes (Zone 2)
This project has widespread support by the locals.  Slim buildings.

The Grays, London, WC1
Prime London, Zone 1.  Walking distance to the London School of Economics.

Clarence Court, The Strand, WC2
Prime London, Zone 1.  This place is a short walk to Covent Garden!

Diamond Tower by Canary Wharf Group
This is the first residential tower on Canary Wharf property!

Hoola, Hoola!
Quite near the future Custom House Cross Rail station.  Worth a look. Project will be marketed by Colliers.

Bayswater Redevelopment by Unamed Bruneian Family
This is one to watch. Bayswater Duck!

Greenwich Peninsula
4 New Projects coming up.  Quite exciting.

Stratford Central - London E15 
A great development by Telford Homes on a very prime plot.  Worth a second look if you are thinking of going into London in a more bite-sized way.

Holmes Court, Gloucester Place W1 (Zone 1)
A conversion by boutique developer English Rose. Check out the findings from the heritage document.

Royal Dockside London E16 (New Asian Business Port)
A recent launch.  We think that it is too far out, location is not great, not to mention the huge sewerage plant nearby. Read the blog post for more views.

Student Accommodation - Don't Get Ripped Off!
This blog piece argues why you should think very hard before investing in student accommodation in UK.

Lillie Square, Earl's Court
An exciting, though rather expensive, phase 1 launch of the Earl's Court Masterplan.  I also blog about the Earl's Court masterplan in this piece.

Elephant Park, Elephant & Castle (Zone 1)
Exciting project, very near Elephant and Castle Tube station (5 minutes walk).  This place is probably the most run-down part of Zone 1 London, but with all the regeneration going on, it should be much improved in the near future.

Convoys Wharf (upcoming)
An upcoming exciting new project by Hutchinson Whampoa. (和記黃埔有限公司)

Morello Tower, Croydon - 1bn Regeneration Area. (Zone 5)
A very interesting project in Travel Card Zone 5.  Good transport links, including 15 minutes to London Gatwick.

Riverdale House by Galliard Homes in Lewisham (Zone 2)
Lewisham, in Zone 2, has also benefitted from regeneration in recent years.  Transport links, it is good.

Royal Arsenal Riverside by Berkeley Homes (Zone 4)
A lot going on in Woolwich.  However, I am not very familiar with that area.

One Blackfriars (Zone 1)
A million pounds for a one bedroom.  Way beyond our budget, but perhaps not beyond yours.

The Forge, Westfery Road
Ever heard of Mudchute?  If not, read on!

Paddington Exchange, London (Zone 1)
One the best projects in recent times.  Got the million odd pounds to spare?

Queen's Park Place - A Secret? (Zone 2)
Located in a very established part of London, just 7 minutes away from London Paddington on the Bakerloo line.

Aura, Edgware (Zone 5)
This property is 0.6 miles from the Edgware Tube station.  This area doesn't have very much going for it right now, i.e. no regeneration.

The Pulse by Fairview New Homes, Colindale
This development was not marketed in Singapore, however, there is nothing stopping an overseas investor from buying into this.
