Royal Mint Gardens IJM Land, Royal Mint Street - No Progress

No progress made so far.  The place has been converted into a temporary carpark.  Not sure how they plan to build the development on top of the rail lines.  See the video.

  1. Hi Mr Guitar,
Very surprised that you made a site visit and still have this project at heart.
    Here are some updates
The developer got their planning permission last month and also had registered for NHBC, kinda warranty insurer against insolvency / fraud.
The buyer/ seller contract is now unconditional. Meanwhile there are still 20 units left on this project which is unsold but mostly facing the DLR line.
Just for info, the Phase 2 which is supposed to be a hotel is now converted into service apartment. No launch dates yet.

    1. Great that planning permission has been approved. I am waiting to see the transformation of that street!

I was on my way to the Brickmakers apartments and I saw that no progress had been made. Found an opening into the site and went in to take a video!

Given the location of the site which is right on top of the rail lines, there would be engineering challenges to build the development. That said, I am sure the planners and engineers would have taken that into account.

      Great location.

  2. hi mr guitar

great that I found this blog as I was contemplating to purchase a unit here. the only doubt that I have is whether it will be noisy then the train passes this area as the building is sitting right above the rail track and since there might be vibration from the train movement. your feedback is greatly appreciated.

    thanks
    jason
