3 Adverts on London Properties 7 March 2014

Three full page advertisements for property exhibitions in London today!

The first one was Rupert Street Soho.  The location is indeed very central.

However, take note of a few points.  The flats on sale are all very small.  Their 1 Beds are just around 400 sqft. We do not look at anything smaller than a 1 Bed.  At this price point, it is rather steep.  It would also be prudent to check out how much you could potentially rent out, assuming you are buying-to-let.  For us, the sums do not work out for this development.

The second advert is Stratford Riverside.  On first glance, the pricing looks reasonable.  We like Stratford location. It has huge potential, especially with CrossRail coming up.  However, note that this development is not very near the tube station, although still within walking distance.

We have not had any experience with Weston, the developer, so we can't say anything about them.  That said, this is the type of development we would look at closely.

The third advert is for London Baltimore Wharf. This area is quite flooded with new builds.  It definitely has corporate let potential.  In fact, it looks like they have already secured 2 year corporate lets for the new builds.  Unfortunately, this place is not within walking distance to Canary Wharf, which is a pity - 4 minutes by DLR, which isn't too bad.

We have not had any experience with this developer too, so no comments.

I read your blog, its really awesome,
I am seeing that you are selling home. I have also a site related to you.
A regularly asked question is is it better to rent your house or to buy it?. Very often this question actually translates into is it cheaper to buy than to rent?

  7. I found your analysis of market trends quite enlightening! It's interesting to see how remote work is influencing housing preferences. Do you think urban areas will recover post-pandemic, or is the trend toward suburban living here to stay? Thanks for sparking this important conversation!
