A recent report (March 2014) by an Architectural think tank (http://www.newlondonarchitecture.org/) highlighted the fact that the London skyline looks set to be transformed. A lot of this new development is taking place in East London, traditionally one of the poorest places in London.
An exciting time to invest. Still early enough to look forward to a significant upside. Even after all these taller buildings are completed, London is still rather low-rise, compared to many other major cities in the world.
The Daily Mail had a similar report in late 2013 on Vauxhalls new skyline.
